Sit back, relax and enjoy every moment as you are escorted from Johannesburg to South Africa’s iconic Kruger National Park to thrill to the possibility of spotting all of Africa’s ‘Big 5’ in just a couple of days.
Feel the wind play with your hair as you cruise in an open safari vehicle down winding bushveld roads. As you turn every corner you come upon another resident of this magical wilderness. Elephant, all the big cat predators, Rhino, Buffalo and the yawning hippopotamus are all there to be seen. It is only for you to spot and photograph them for posterity! You enjoy no less than 4 great guided safaris in this short time, with your expert safari guide also pointing out the interesting flora and magnificent birdlife that is all part of the Kruger Park experience. The highlight of the trip is a night drive that takes you on a sometimes heart stopping journey to interact with the nightlife of the bushveld.
You might sit transfixed as a herd of Elephant surround you and you are only aware of their smell and proximity, but cannot see them – so black is the night! Or look squarely into the blazing eyes of the elusive leopard, seldom seen by day.

Day 1: Johannesburg - Kruger Park. Collection by your driver from either your hotel in Johannesburg or Guest House between 06h00am and 07h00am and from the OR Tambo Airport no later than 07h00am. Transfer to Nelspruit where you will be met by your Open Safari vehicle guide and start your safari. You make your way to the Numbi Gate of the Kruger National Park where your guide will then brief you on our Safety Regulations before entering the park and making your way to camp for lunch (Own Account) and check in. Your first official game drive departs camp at 15h00pm returning you by gate closing.
Day 2: Kruger National Park. Early morning wake up by 05h30am to start your early morning game drive stopping off for breakfast at one of the camps or picnic areas, returning you to camp by 12h30pm for lunch (Own Account) or to relax before departing once again at 15h30pm for a late afternoon game drive returning as the gates close for the evening.
Day 3: Kruger Park - Johannesburg. Once again we depart early from camp for a game driver returning by 08h30am for breakfast after which it is time to pack up and exit the park by 10h00am in order to arrive back in Nelspruit by 11h00am for your return complimentary transfer to OR Tambo or back to your hotel arriving back in Johannesburg by 16h00pm/16h30pm.

BEST TRIP EVER! I was very nervous about the whole idea of going on safari. Kruger National Park exceeded my expectations and much of that was down to my experience with Nhongo Safaris, I felt extremely safe and well looked after, Amanda our guide went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Under promise and over achieve she did!

Our Nhongo Safari focused on seeing and learning about the park's animals and ecosystems. We saw the big five and so much more- a leopard in a tree with a kill, mating lions (interesting), elephants up close, black rhinos, a poached rhino (very sad), hyenas, hippos, giraffes... Our guide Amanda was dedicated and passionate about the park and its animals. Her experience and knowledge as a guide made the trip a once in a lifetime event. We were glad we chose the 7 day safari - there is so much to see. If you want to experience, the wildlife of Africa, Nhongo is a great choice.
From beginning to end all the staff we interacted with was great and professional. Booking was easy and straight forward. This was our first safari but it will surely wont be the last!.
But the highlight of the trip was our awesome guide, Michael. That guy sure loves his job and it shows!!!!. Very professional, knowledgeable and great fun!!!

We had a 6 days private safari with Nhongo. Our guide was Amanda and she was wanderful. She took care of everything, explain everything and was very knowlageable. We saw leopard and chita and many other animals.
Nhongo also upgrade our stay to ensure we will have wonderful time and we did.

So frustrating... I am very very upset about the experience I just had with Nhongo Safaris. Kruger Park is amazing, please go there, it totally worth. I only chose the wrong agency to go with. Nhongo is super well rated however they charged my friends and I quite a lot of money and fit us 3 in a small room, even they had sold us 2 bedrooms. Nobody came to clean our room for the first day. The guide we had was good, can’t complain about him - Clint his name. My main issue was with the Nhongo’s management: Verity. I tried to wire them money before the trip taking place but it didn’t go through once my bank was seeing the wire transfer as potentially a fraud, I offered to pay locally and so Verity agreed with that. Unfortunately once I got there she changed wanted me to pay in cash only (it is a National Park, I couldn’t take 400usd out of a ATM where the daily limit is way lower). She made the chaos in my life, involved me in such an embarrassing situation that I will never forget. Ahe reached out to my friends chasing them for money, she ordered our guide to stop the car in the middle of the jungle until she got the money, pretty much she forced one of my friends to pay it on my behalf without asking me for it. There were 8 people in the pickup truck and everyone was watching the car stopped because of this. I have never felt so embarrassed and frustrated in my whole life. Even I said I could wire from another bank, pay it on a card machine, I offered to go to her office in Johannesburg, I offered plenty of alternative solutions and she made this to me.
Other than that We made good friends, we took awesome pictures, so please go to Kruger Park, just don’t join Nhongo Safaris!
